"A quick summary from memory: The Spring Headlamp had high power & excellent color (color temperature). Battery life was adequate, although output was not as stable as others with rechargeable batteries. Spot size was large & fairly diffuse (probably due to the two convergent beams). Users generally disliked the headband style (especially loupe users who wanted a clip-on light), but those accustomed to tethered halogen headbands (oral surgeons) generally liked it. The aiming mechanism (stiff articulated joints) was not as precise as other systems, but once adjusted was OK. Of the two headband lamps evaluated (Spring & Halo), Spring was a significantly better bargain with good performance."
